FAQ

How do I learn to dance?
Dancing becomes easy and fun the moment you begin lessons with one of our friendly Rose City Ballroom experts. There is no need to bring a partner in order to enjoy dancing at our studio; all classes rotate partners so you’ll have a chance to dance with every one.

Do I need experience to join your school?

No experience necessary!  Our instructors are trained to make dancing easy and fun, even if you feel you have two left feet!

Will it take long?
You will be able to begin dancing after your first lesson. The length of your training depends upon how many dances you would like to learn and how proficient you would like to become in each dance.

Are your teaching methods difficult?
Not at all. We are famous for making learning to dance fun and easy. We teach four simple basic movements from which new combinations are derived.

How much do lessons cost?

Group class bundles of 10 are $150.

Private lessons packages vary on your individual needs and desires, but it usually depends on a number of factors.  Your desired level of proficiency, which dances you want to learn, and the number of days available in your schedule will all be considered when building your package. After getting to know you better on your first lesson, your instructor will recommend a package for you so you can make the most informed decision possible.

Can I learn the latest and most popular steps?
Yes!  Our instructors love to go out dancing themselves and keep up with the latest popular steps in the clubs.  You can learn the very steps in any or all social and nightclub dances like Swing, Samba, Merengue, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Mambo, Tango, Waltz, Country Western Two-Step, Line Dancing, and more.

Will my lessons interfere with my busy schedule?
You may take lessons any time you wish. The studio is open 7 days a week. The studio closes at 9 pm on week nights and 7pm on weekends, so we can work around even the busiest schedule.

How qualified will my instructor be?
Our studio has won the prestigious Top Studio award at many nationally ranked ballroom competitions. All of our dance experts complete a rigorous training regimen and train with the world’s top coaches to bring you the highest level of instruction in the industry. They are experienced on both the social and competitive dance floor and are knowledgeable in all techniques to help you master today’s popular dances. Rest assured, the teachers selected for you are the best in the business!

What is the benefit of taking dance lessons?

Good dancing is a lifetime investment in fun, greater poise and confidence, and improved social interactions. It is also a superb physical conditioner, providing fun exercise without strenuous effort. Learning to dance will open up a wonderful new world of physical fitness and a thriving year-round social calendar.
